Röhsska's fashiondays 2022

  • Röhsska Museet Vasagatan 39 Göteborg Sweden (map)

This year's edition of Röhsska's fashion days examines fashion as art and cultural expression in a world with finite resources. Everything is questioned and everything is possible. For four days, we invite external actors in the fashion area who in different ways highlight this year's theme "High Fashion Upcycling - a new era".

In recent years, fashion has been more about clothing, production processes and new business models, instead of focusing on fashion as a cultural expression, identity creator and artistic expression. At the same time, interest in craft knowledge and material knowledge has increased.

Admission: Museum card (SEK 120), Day ticket (SEK 60) and free admission for students and young people under 20 years. There is a limited number of places for the program activities, no pre-registration is required unless otherwise stated. Röhsska's fashion days 2022 are held in collaboration with the Swedish Fashion Council and TEX

DESIGN TALKS: A NEW ERA OF FASHION TALENTS

Using garments and new materials creates couture with other artistic expressions. Hear the acclaimed Swedish fashion brands HODAKOVA, Louise Xin Couture and Rave Review talk about their work in three short lectures. March 19, 14-15.30

SUNDAY STUDY: Tie a PERSONAL BAG

In a playful way, we investigate how forgotten garments in the wardrobe can be reused to become something new and unique. Together with fashion students Andrea Margrétardóttir and My Pettersson, we make personal bags from materials such as ties, scarves, tights and jewelry. The Sunday studio is aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 11.

Pre-book your place via pedagog@rohsska.se or pick up your ticket at the reception from kl. 11 the same day subject to availability. The activity is carried out with support from Folkuniversitetet. March 20, 13-15.30
