Best coworking spaces in Gothenburg
Shared workspaces, or “kontorhotel” as they are called in Swedish, are popping up everywhere in Gothenburg. So, the good news is: if you're looking for a coworking space – you won't be short of options. But not all office spaces are equal. Finding the best coworking space entirely depends on what your needs are: hot desk or your own private office? Is a gym included? Or do you just need good coffee?
We've picked out three great workspaces in Gothenburg. We've used and enjoyed them all. And each offers something different. So whatever it is you do. Whatever environment you're looking for. There's a good chance that your ideal coworking space is below:
Bagih Kronhuset: Historical, unqiue and inspiring workspace
Built between 1643–54, Kronhuset is one of the oldest buildings in Gothenburg. And it's beautiful, on the inside and out. The coworking space Bagih Kronhuset is spread over the first and second floor, with space for about 50 people to work comfortable. The ground floor is often used for events, like theatre shows, musical performance and large dinners (it can accomodate about 300 people).
In the 17th century, the quality of the sound insualtion wasn't quite what it is today! So, if there is an orchestra rehearsing on the ground floor – you will hear it. And you hear footsteps waking across the wooden floors above you. Personally, this adds to the charm of the place. But it won't suit everyone.
At Bagih Kronhuset you can rent a room to yourself or hotdesk. There are plenty of meetings rooms if you want some privacy. WIFI, a printer and coffee (of course). And it is ideally located in the heart of Gothenburg, just 2-3 minutes walk from Brunnsparken – the largest transport hub in the city – with central station a further 5 mins away.
