A weekend of Arm Exploration
During this full weekend workshop you will learn how to build strength and apply techniques to a variety of arm balancing asanas and inversions.
Details:
Day 1: Building Strength and Flexibility (Friday Feb 16 @ 18.00-19.30)
We'll begin the weekend with a challenging and flowy Vinyasa practice where we will build strength and flexibility to discover different movement patterns, play and explore. This will give Tobi an opportunity to meet you where you are in your own unique way. The individual elements of this practice are characterized by functional movements that are linked together in a creative and fun way.
Day 2: Finding your foundation (Sat Feb 17 @ 11.00-14.00)
On this day, we will spend more time focusing on the basics of arm balances. We wil look at the necessary techniques and skills and try to find the first advanced asanas on our hands. We will also work on flexibility to promote mobility in relevant muscle groups. You will deepend your understanding of balance and learn techniques to stay stable in arm balances!
Day 3: Spend the day upside down (Sat Feb 18 @ 11.00-14.00)
For our last day, we will try glide through different arm balances with patience and curiosity, building strength to take off for a moment. You will learn how to specifically build your strength to achieve advanced arm balances and find your own path on your hands and new possibilities with the right technique and alignment.

About A Nice Place 〰️
A Nice Place is a communal yoga and movement studio. Our core values are the heart of our business: inclusive, playful, and insightful. We welcome everyone to the space to do what is innate to all: to move and breathe, but with a little extra intention.. We take a modern approach to yoga to honor the past, and live in the present. All of our movement is inspired by Yoga and our classes vary by level of energy and strength.
You’ll find a more active practice in our ‘Smooth’ and ‘Spicy’ classes, and a more relaxed practice in our ‘Mellow’ and ‘Soundbath’ classes. Our ‘Mobile’ class is a mixture of educating our students about biomechanics and spending more time talking through specific yoga poses, and our ‘Child + Caretaker’ class welcomes caretakers and children to practice together! We also hold courses and workshops on various topics such as: Intro to yoga, Prenatal yoga, Handstands and inversions, Meditation, and much more!
Our studio is unique because we offer more than just a space for people to move but rather, a place for the community to connect physically, mentally and emotionally. So much of our time is spent independent of others. Whether at work, at home, or on the go, we’re constantly plugged in and tuned out of our surroundings and each other. The world needs more opportunities to heal together, learn together and just be together. A Nice Place provides that communal connectivity that our modern society sometimes lacks.
