This is a unique project started in 2021; born out of the love of theatre, feminism and a curiosity for how theatre can be perceived digitally.
A conjunction of both theatre and film, wherein we experiment in how to merge the two mediums. In collaboration with Historieverket, with generous support from Göteborgs Stad, HIGAB and Kulturrådet.

‘She’ is a desirable calamity, a domestic danger, a delectable detriment, painted with fair colours…who desires inherently to overthrow all the kingdoms of the world (Malleus Maleficarum/Hammer of Witches, 1486)
Based on the lives of five real restoration actresses, who were among the first women allowed to speak on a public stage, we see how the same forces that aimed to silence them are still the very ones we face today. Peer behind the curtain as we follow one of their stories unfold and watch as the line between woman and witch once again becomes blurred.
This abridged interpretation of the play focuses on the journey of one character: Nell Gwyn.
