Art as resistance is a series of meetings with current artists who use their art consciously, to change something in society. It can be a visual artist, filmmaker, writer, musician or performing arts group. The desire to influence and change with their art is the common denominator.

Meet Linda Zachrison, new artistic director of Gothenburg City Theatre.

Linda Zachrison will become the new artistic director of Gothenburg City Theater from 1 August 2023. Linda comes with broad experience of working in the performing arts world. Right now she is connected to the Orion Theater in Stockholm, but previously she has worked both nationally and internationally. For five years, Linda Zachrison was cultural advisor at the Swedish embassy in Washington, for six years artistic director of the Parkteatern in Stockholm and in 2009-2010 also artistic director of the international guest play scene c/o Stockholms Stadsteater.

She has previously been CEO and chief producer of Cirkus Cirkör. For two years she was a political expert at the Ministry of Culture and in 2021 she was appointed as the government's special investigator for the restart of cultural life after the pandemic.
