Treasury of Puppies + Jon Collin (UK) + Franciska (DK) + Magnus Jäverling

Gothenburg-based record label and record store Discreet Music is celebrating three years, and how do you celebrate three years in the best way? With a festival at Folkteaterns Lilla Scen, of course! The stage is hosted by a total of four artists and there will be minimal wave, sound poetry, solo guitar, cassette music and cinematic tones!

Treasury of Puppies

Treasury of Puppies consists of Charlott Malmenholt and Joakim Karlsson. Their self-titled album was released in the summer of 2020 in a small edition and was recently re-released on American Digital Regress. Earlier this year, the sequel - Mitt Stora Nu was also released. A magical concoction of sound poetry, minimal wave and Gothenburg trouble.

Jon Collin (UK)

The British guitarist Jon Collin has been living in Stockholm for a few years. Earlier this year, Collin released the album Bridge Variations on Discreet Music. On the album, the guitar has mostly been replaced by a key harp. This evening, Collin plays his first gig in Gothenburg since 2019.

Francesca (DK)

The Danish collective Förlaget Kornmod has released a large number of impressive cassettes in the last three years. The cassette company is run by, among others, the only 18-year-old Jonas Torstensson, who has also been making music under the name Franciska for some time now. It is finely tuned and broken cassette music that we will soon experience at Discreet Music. Fransciska will release her debut album on the label shortly.

Magnus the Bastard

Magnus Jäverling's debut album Bowdark was released in the fall of 2022 and consists of cinematic, grand music in the same tradition as John Carpenter, Fabio Frizzi, etc. Bowdark is a concept album about a fictional city in the USA where a meteor strikes. This evening, Jäverling makes his debut gig under his own name.
