Psychedelic space rock and post-punk.
Legendary psychedelic space rock from Japan since 1995 and on tour since 1998! Led by their self-proclaimed speed guru Makoto Kawabata, Acid Mothers Temple makes dreamy, heavy, colorful and intense music. The dreamy parties often erupt into total freakout sessions that expand and take new paths. There are connections to several different musical expressions, from German kraut rock to American acid rock and hippie culture. Music with groove, depth and trance-like worlds! Acid Mothers Temple is a collective with a clear leader. The members have often been replaced over the years but now they seem to have found a more stable form. The band has released over a hundred records and collaborated with the likes of Damo Suzuki (Can), Nik Turner (Hawkwind) and Seiichi Yamamoto (Bordedoms).
