The album The Piano Chair was recorded in classic Music-a-Matic Studios in Gothenburg and is about growing up, love and sisterhood. Piano, strings, electric bass, organ and percussion carry the arrangements. Curiosity and intimacy have been key words when Klara Goliger and co-producer Hannes Boeryd invited some of the city's sharpest folk and improvisational musicians to the studio.
Gothenburg-based Klara Goliger debuted with the EP “22” in the summer of 2020. Her fragile, melancholic and slightly whimsical pop has been described as a mix of Fiona Apple and Regina Spektor.
The first singles from the album, "Sitting On Your Chair" and "One Day", were released this spring and received great reviews: "Klara Goliger has taken great strides in her musical development. The song is distinct, clear and crystal clear in a very appealing way. Regina Spektor is a given reference, but Goliger has something of her own going on.” - Johan Lindqvist, Göteborgsposten 22/4-2022
