The Nordic region's largest film festival returns to the cinemas in Gothenburg in full force. Plus there will be the popular digital experience so you can join in from home – one of the few good things to come from the pandemic!

For 10 days at the end of January the festival will show around 250 films from more than 80 countries in about 700 screenings.

Göteborg Film Festival began in 1979 and attracts around 270,000 visitors each year, in cinemas and online. Around 250 films from 80 countries are shown in about 700 screenings. Yet the festival is not just about film, but also offers various talks and workshops as well as live music performances, art exhibits and many other activities.
