The acclaimed and controversial Norwegian author Vigdis Hjorth visits the International Writers' Stage Gothenburg for a live talk about the new book “Is Mother Dead” with the author Martin Engberg.

Vigdis Hjorth is one of Norway's foremost authors. She broke through big and wide with the novel Heritage and the Environment, which was first published in 2016 and began a heated debate about truth and literature on Norwegian cultural sites.

In the new book “Is Mother Dead” she is back in the same theme about the collapse of the dysfunctional family and looks at the relationship between mother and daughter.
