The Sounds remains unthreatened on the throne when it comes to dancing indie rock. Almost 20 years after they knocked the world out with the single "Hit Me!" unveiled the new album "Things We Do For Love".
As a band, The Sounds' history spans two decades. The excitement and dynamism of the band's sixth album "Things We Do For Love", which was released earlier this year, is rather reminiscent of a newly started band's hunger. Sweeping and majestic indie rock that bursts and sticks out in exactly the right places. We hear the sound of a band whose chemistry is inherent and natural, not calculated.
The album's singles, the title track "Things We Do For Love" and the pulsating pop song "Safe & Sound" have been rolling on Swedish radio during the year and when the band performed a live-streamed concert from KB in Malmö, it was seen by hundreds of thousands of fans worldwide.
In 2019, Aftonbladet called the band's live show "explosive and nerve-wracking" and together with The Hives and Mando Diao, The Sounds sold out two Dalhalla. See less
